This evaluation, launched by the Climate Group and the China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute, marks the first time RE100 has extended its focus on green transformation from the corporate to the industrial park level. It is a key international cooperation project that supports China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), which aims to establish approximately 100 national-level zero-carbon parks.
As one of the first parks selected in China, the Datong Super Energy Complex centers on a vertically integrated model of power-computing synergy, explores innovative pathways in direct green power connections and vertical integration, and showcases the international achievements of Chinese enterprises in power-computing infrastructure and the vertical integration of industrial ecosystems.
This recognition marks a significant milestone in Datong's development as an energy city, strongly promoting the integration of new energy and computing industries, empowering the city to become a national green computing base and a beacon for zero-carbon industries.
