Shanxi Xinzhou Cultural and Tourism Promotion Event was held in Kuala Lumpur

Focusing on showcasing attractions such as the Wutai Mountain, the virgin forests of the Luya Mountain,and the border culture of the Great Wall,the Promotion Event themed “Xinzhou: A Place for Health and Leisure”for Shanxi Xinzhou’s culture and tourism was held in Kuala Lumpur on March 29th. The event was jointly organized by the Shanxi Culture and Tourism Department and the People's Government of Xinzhou City, alongside the cooperation of the Kuala Lumpur Chinese Cultural Center, the China-Malaysia Folk Culture and Tourism Chamber of Commerce and other units. Its aim was to enhance cultural and tourism cooperation between the two regions and promote bilateral tourism exchanges.

At the scene, representatives from the Shanxi Cultural and Tourism Department, Xinzhou City, and Malaysia delivered systematic explanations on history, culture, policies  and other aspects.

During the event, the Hequ Erren Tai performance of "Wuge Herding Sheep" and the folk song "Ninety-Nine Bends of the Yellow River" showcased the unique cultural charm of Xinzhou.  The  Wutai Mountain, the Luya Mountain, the border culture of the Great Wall, as well as hot springs, specialty snacks, and boutique homestays, attracted the attending guests and were highly acclaimed.

25 Malaysian travel agencies participated in the event, and businesses from both regions signed cooperation agreements. Subsequently, the Malaysian delegation will visit Shanxi from April 1st to 5th for cultural and tourism research and exchanges, in order to gain in-depth insights into Shanxi's tourism resources and further develop related tourism products.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, as well as the first year of mutual visa exemption between the two countries. With this opportunity, cultural and tourism exchanges between the two regions will reach new heights, ushering in a wave of bidirectional tourist flows.
