Shanxi improves relations with North America

Wu Shaozhong, director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanxi Provincial Government, met with Liu Linna, vice-chairwoman and secretary general of the North American Chinese Investment Council, in Taiyuan, capital of North China's Shanxi province, on Aug 26.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on further strengthening communications and promoting exchanges between Shanxi and countries in North America.

Wu hoped that the council would help Shanxi consolidate the existing international sister city relationship with North American countries, expand friendly exchanges with North American cities, and promote the establishment of more international sister city relationships.

He also expressed the expectation that the council would help advance project exchanges and cooperation and contact with friendly organizations and individuals in North America to enhance relations between Shanxi and North America.

Liu said that the council is willing to serve as a bridge and make due contributions to the high-quality development of Shanxi.
